1.) I am still in love with WOXY, today has been a superb "Request the X" day.
2.) I think I've gone a couple of weeks without eating bacon or a hot dog. Prepare for the world to come to an end.
3.) It's too damn cold outside.
4.) I've decided not to put up a Christmas tree this year. Why? Because I don't feel like looking at it until March, like I did last year. I am also thinking about forgoing the Christmas cards as well.
5.) I've gotten really lazy about washing the dishes, and have resorted to using paper plates, and making sandwiches that require little or no cutlery, since I am out of or running dangerously close to out of the real stuff. I think I see a pattern arising between points 4 and 5, because I also have a pile of laundry on the floor similar to last year's.
6.) I am tremendously bored with my job, and have been thinking about not showing up one day and saying "You know, I just don't think this is the right fit for me."
7.) I now have enough money saved up to buy a plane ticket to India in the spring. Now, I need to nail down the specific two weeks I'll be spending there in April or May. Any suggestions?
8.) I have secured a meeting with an HR Recruiter to discuss job opportunities in India with the Target Corporation.
9.) I wish I had my farmer physique back.
10.) If you think that Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy" is even remotely close to your top 20 songs of 2006, I can no longer be your friend or acquaintance, and you obviously did not spend time in Europe between the months of March and May, and heard it every time the radio was on, no matter the station, no matter the location. The same probably goes for the U.S. between the months of June and September, but I wouldn't know. Thank God I have non-commercial radio choices in America!

Despite its commerical success, I would counter that "Crazy" is one of the best pop songs of the past several years. It's certainly one of those things that I don't need to listen to again for awhile, but man I fell in love with it so hard upon first listen and I don't think that can be discounted just because of its eventual ubiquitous nature.
Anyway, thanks for the WOXY love. :-)
cheers,

"Crazy", in my opinion, has driven my crazy since the very first time I heard it. I actually like the "Gone Daddy Gone" cover and "The Last Time", which sometimes makes me say, "maybe I should think about buying this" BUT I just can't get past the one song...I personally enjoyed Cee-Lo more when he was with Goodie Mob.
yeah, that christmas tree thing, which we discussed over soup and salad on Thursday...I'm with you. I'm not putting the damn thing up either. It's too much work and frankly,I'm not in the mood for the holidays. Unless we call it a holiday tree, leave it up all year, and then change the ornaments for each holiday...nah, that's still too much work.
And hell yeah, it's cold outside. let's move.
Well, I too fell in love with Crazy, it's catchy, the remix station took it and let it run, and the local college station may have overplayed it. As far as Euro music and time lag, I was sick of Natasha Beddingfield before I ever heard her in the US. I'm glad Robbie Williams never had much traction.
Well, we also are not putting up a tree, with the 12 inch blue tinsel exception, but there's no work there, and we needed a prop for the bacon... and the tree fit fine.
We have strung garland in the living room, but it won't die, or seem out of place in mid january when I undo the ribbons and put it in a box. The ornaments are hanging from the garland, and there aren't any lights with their creepy glow to bother me while I sleep.
Oh, last years tree is slowly decomposing in the leaf pile next to my garden shed. They wanted $5 to pick it up with the trash, and I hate spending money. What do you do in Chicago?
